October 28, 2024, Jakarta - The three fundamentals of the Sumpah Pemuda are love for the country, brotherhood, and unity. Lokapala unveiled the most recent Ksatriya trailer, Guning, in honor of Sumpah Pemuda Day. Inspired by the characters Gu and Ning from the historical conflict tale "Geger Pecinan," it is evident how deeply Javanese and Chinese cultures collaborate in Nusantara culture.
The story of Ksatriya Guning is set against the backdrop of Kartasura Palace as the result of the cooperation between Kapiten Sepanjang, a Chinese commander who was instrumental in the fight against colonial power, and the historical figure Sunan Kuning (Raden Mas Garendi). To defend justice and value diversity, Guning is a symbol of bravery and solidarity. Guning serves as a reminder that a warrior's fight is not just for themselves but also for the benefit of present and future generations.
In the fight against injustice and to preserve diversity and unity, the narrative of Sunan Kuning and Kapiten Sepanjang serves as a powerful example of the cooperation between Javanese and Chinese cultures throughout the archipelago.
Guning trailer is released on Sumpah Pemuda, where the significance of the principles of struggle in maintaining Indonesia's identity, unity, and variety is once again brought home to us as strong Indonesians.
Ksatriya Guning is an example for the current generation to always embody the spirit of culture and appreciate differences, as the Indonesian youth came together on October 28, 1928, to bring the goals of Indonesia into reality.
To preserve variety, solidarity, and a love of culture, three foundations of Indonesia as a country—Anantarupa Studios sincerely hopes that the Guning story will inspire players and the community. As the first MOBA-themed game from Indonesia, Lokapala is pleased to contribute to the strong spirit of these ideals among the younger generation while being a reminder that diversity is one of Indonesia's greatest assets.
