LOKAPALA DI INDONESIA COMIC CON 2023
Indonesia Comic Con 2023, which was held from June 23rd to June 25th, 2023, at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), embraced the theme of Pop Culture, consisting of five pillars: gaming, comics, music, toys, and films. Anantarupa Studios, the owner of the Lokapala intellectual property (IP), also participated in the event through the gaming pillar.
Lokapala brought along several Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) who invited visitors and communities to play Lokapala game together. The KOLs who joined the Lokapala booth were:
Aurel Mayori, a rising content creator, singer, and Vtuber who frequently creates content such as game streaming and releases singles using visual animation. She has already released three singles and is currently working on an album.
Michelle Christo, a former member of the music group JKT48, Generation 3. Michelle joined JKT48 in March 2014 and graduated from the group in January 2020. After JKT48, Michelle's activities revolve around being an MC, acting, and live streaming.
Gabriel Angelina, a former member of the music group JKT48, Generation 7. Gabriel joined JKT48 in September 2018 and graduated from the group in March 2021. After JKT48, Gabriel, or Biyel as she is commonly known, is involved in lifestyle and beauty content.
They were also accompanied by Lokapala's Brand Ambassador (BA), Tiara Ravalda, better known as Ravalda. Since 2020, she has been a BA for Lokapala Moba for three years. As a content creator, her current activities include live streaming, shoutcasting, and hosting.
In addition to playing Lokapala game, visitors at the booth were given quests or a series of tasks. If completed, they would have the chance to receive premium merchandise from the Lokapala IP. Moreover, there were special prizes for those who completed the quests for three consecutive days!
The IP Lokapala's development team also shared their experiences in translating manuscripts, ancient tales, and cultural history into a world or lore that serves as the foundation of the Lokapala IP. They also explained how they incorporated these cultural values into visual forms, both in 2D and 3D artwork.
To showcase the development team's work process in the Arts aspect of Lokapala game development, the Lokapala booth featured three design-related activities. There was Live Coloring, where the development team demonstrated live digital coloring techniques. Live Sculpting showcased the process of creating 3D shapes, and Speed Drawing exhibited the speed of creating digital 2D illustrations.

Anantarupa Studios yang memiliki IP Lokapala pun turut mengisi acara tersebut melalui pilar game.

Michelle Christo merupakan mantan member grup musik JKT48 generasi 3. Michelle bergabung dengan JKT48 pada Maret 2014 dan lulus dari JKT48 pada January 2020. Selepas dari JKT48, aktivitas Michelle ini tidak lepas dari MC, akting, dan live streaming.
Gabriel Angelina merupakan mantan member grup musik JKT48 generasi 7. Gabriel bergabung dengan JKT48 pada September 2018 dan lulus dari JKT48 pada Maret 2021. Selepas dari JKT48, aktivitas Gabriel atau yang biasa disapa Biyel ini tidak lepas dari Lifestyle dan Beauty content.
Mereka juga ditemani oleh Brand Ambassador (BA) Lokapala yaitu Tiara Ravalda atau lebih dikenal dengan nama Ravalda. Terhitung dari tahun 2020, dia sudah 3 tahun menjadi BA Lokapala Moba. Sebagai seorang content creator kesibukannya saat ini yaitu Live streaming, Shoutcasting, dan Host.
Tidak hanya bermain game Lokapala saja, di booth tersebut pengunjung juga diberikan quest atau rangkaian tugas yang jika dikerjakan maka akan diberikan kesempatan untuk mendapatkan merchandise-merchandise premium dari IP Lokapala. Bahkan, ada hadiah khusus untuk mereka yang menyelesaikan quest tersebut selama tiga (3) hari berturut-turut!
Tim developer yang mengembangkan IP Lokapala juga berbagi cerita pengalaman-pengalaman mereka dalam menerjemahkan manuskrip, hikayat lama, sampai sejarah budaya ke dalam bentuk dunia atau lore yang menjadi pondasi IP Lokapala tersebut. Mereka juga bercerita bagaimana mengangkat nilai-nilai budaya tersebut ke dalam bentuk visual baik dalam gambar 2 dimensi (2D) maupun 3 dimensi (3D).
Untuk memperlihatkan proses kerja yang dilakukan oleh tim developer dalam pengembangan game Lokapala dari sisi Arts, di booth Lokapala juga mempertunjukkan tiga aktivitas terkait desain. Ada Live Coloring, di mana tim developer akan memamerkan cara mewarnai digital secara langsung. Ada Live Sculpting, yang akan menunjukkan proses pembuatan bentuk 3D. Dan ada Speed Drawing, yang mempertontonkan kecepatan dalam menggambar 2D secara digital.
